Rules of Professional Conduct

1. Steele Rose will provide their clients with details of the firm’s basis of charging and where appropriate work on a fixed fee basis. This information will be confirmed at the time instructions are taken or as soon as possible thereafter.

2. Steele Rose must be aware of potential hearing and visual difficulties of their clients and take this into account when communicating, for example correspondence and documents can be produced in large print.

3. All clients will be treated with dignity and respect, in a manner which is sensitive to the situation and consultants shall act in their best interests.

4. Steele Rose will maintain an appropriate level of Professional Indemnity Insurance.

5. Steele Rose will have a policy of taking instructions in person (unless a later change is required).

6. Steele Rose will refund any money paid if a client changes their mind within seven days of providing instructions.

7. Steele Rose will maintain strict client confidentiality.

8. Steele Rose will maintain their own Terms of Business and Complaints Procedures and copies shall be made available to clients upon request and through this website.

9. If the Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners Standard Provisions are mentioned in a Will a copy shall be made available to clients upon request.

10. Steele Rose shall return Wills and associated documents to clients within 30 days of taking instructions (if possible), or as soon as possible, if the client is seriously ill.

11. Steele Rose will keep copies of all Instructions and Attendance Notes for a period of at least 12 years.
