Now, more than ever, clients need properly qualified will draftsmen to prepare their Wills and associated documents. Family structures have become increasingly complex over the years and private wealth has grown significantly. These factors are beginning to focus the spotlight on the competence of will draftsmen and the threat to the public of poorly drafted Wills. The client, or the client’s family, may not appreciate the risk until it is too late.
 
In 2011, aware of these concerns, the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP)* launched the STEP Advanced Certificate in Will Preparation at the level of the STEP Diploma, the gold standard and a benchmark qualification in the field of trusts and estates education to validate the competence of will draftsmen.

Upon return of Will(s) Steele Rose provide a photocopy of the Will(s), cards advising executors of the location of the Will (if stored with Steele Rose) and offering free executor advice, they also provide cards advising witnesses of the legal requirements for witnessing a Will, all in an envelope bearing Steele Rose contact details and information concerning the appropriate action and circumstances when a Will might be revoked or require re-writing.
